CHALLENGE
Gate City Bank’s 100th anniversary required a logo system that celebrated a century of service while aligning with an established brand identity. The design needed to be able to support yearlong marketing campaigns.

SOLUTION
I designed a logo system that seamlessly integrated with the existing brand, while introducing fresh elements to mark the milestone. The system was designed for flexibility, scaling across applications without losing clarity or impact.

Final Logo Designs

I balanced legacy and novelty by adapting the current logo with updated typography, color accents, and “100 Years” text.

The logo system includes a large badge design and smaller alternatives to solve for scale constraints.

Logo Sketches

I explored how “100 Years” could be emphasized without overshadowing the bank’s established mark.

The goal was to ensure the final system worked across multiple applications.

Community Blue Bags

Designed and produced 20,000 reusable branded bags, resulting in both visibility and community impact. Distributing the bags to bank customers as well as donating them to the Fargo Great Plains Food Bank tied the celebration directly to Gate City Bank’s service mission.

Developed inverse, single-color, and outline versions to solve production challenges, ensuring the logo could be applied clearly across signage, print, and digital formats.
